DULOG has existed for over 50 years and puts on four productions each year, ranging from the traditional light opera of Gilbert & Sullivan through the early works of Rodgers & Hammerstein to the latest West End and Broadway spectaculars. Three shows each year are staged in the local Assembly Rooms theatre, while there is an annual show at the local, professional Gala Theatre. In recent years, Gala shows have included Fame, City of Angels, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story and The Producers. Our society’s passionate, colourful and professional productions bring to life the real value of performing arts within both the student and local community. Anyone who has seen a DULOG show will be able to testify to the professionalism seen and heard on stage.

It follows that staging such high quality shows requires considerable funding. Although a large proportion of our funds come from ticket sales we also rely heavily on membership contributions, sponsorship and our patrons system.
